Stalking Time #7
Incarnation: Second
Card: The Emperor
“Doctor, I don’t think this is really the time to practice that,” he looked at the Doctor, searching for the word he was looking for, coming up empty, “device.”
The Doctor looked up from his recorder, lips pursed, eyes flickering with panicked delight. “Oh, I’m sure you’d rather just die. It helps me think. Now, we need to figure this out.”
“Why do you think…” starting to protest, cut off by the quick hand gestures of The Doctor.
“Of course I think, in fact, I have a plan already,” The Doctor said, popping up over the rampart taking a quick look at the chaotic scene as reinforcements poured in on the Dalek front.
“What is it?”
“Simple. When I say run, run. Run!”

Stalking Time #6
Incarnation: First
Card: The World
The Doctor walked around the display in shocked awe.
It was evident that in all his centuries, he had finally found it. “My dear, do you know what this is?”
“No, what is it, Grandfather? It looks old.”
“It is. The last Type 40 in the universe. Once the pinnacle of Time and Space travel. Well, relative dimensions in space. “
“Oh, a TARDIS.”
“Excuse me, dear?”
“Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. TARDIS. You did say it yourself, Grandfather.”
“Hmm, I do suppose I did. How about we go take a closer look?” The elderly Doctor looked around to see if anyone was watching before slipping in, dragging his granddaughter in behind him. Once inside, they marveled at the wondrous ship as the Doctor made his way to the main control panel.
“I’ve always wanted to fly one of these. I wonder, it should be just this…” he trailed off as he let his hands flutter about the control panel flicking switches and setting coordinates.
“Grandfather, we really ought to go. Besides, I don’t think they’d put a working TARDIS in the museum.”
“Hush. Let an old man have his fantasies. You wait until you’re my age.” The Doctor chastised lightly, flipping one of the switches again, causing the TARDIS to start wooshing and whirring before it disappeared into the time vortex.

Stalking Time #5
Doctor: Ninth
Card: Empress Inverted
“Rose, this is not the time,” The Doctor shouted as the TARDIS seemed to hit a pocket of turbulence. He ran around the controls in a frenzy, flipping switches, turning knobs, and occasionally looking up at his erstwhile companion on the phone, holding on to a grate with her free hand.
“I’ve got to. It’s my mum,” Rose mouthed. The Doctor just rolled his eyes, getting the TARDIS back on course.
“Fantastic. Just fantastic. What was so important that it couldn’t wait until we were out of that vortex storm?”
“Mother’s Day.”

Stalking Time #4
Incarnation: Fourth
Card: Ace of Cups
The Doctor lay on the floor of the TARDIS, breathing heavily. The wound was deeper than it seemed, causing agonizing pain but not enough to trigger the regeneration process.
His assistants went about the rooms, looking for anything that they could use to staunch the blood flow.
He was adamant about not using the great length of his scarf, citing some sort of sentimental attachment. K-9 was nearby, monitoring the Doctor.
“Master?” The metal whine of the robotic dog came from nowhere.
“Yes, K-9,” the Doctor gasped, still clutching his chest.
“Your hearts appear fine. Would you like me to cauterize your wound?”
“Oh, yes. Bless your wonderful machinery!”
By the time the rest of the crew had returned, the Doctor was up, leaning up against the TARDIS controls. “Would you like a jelly baby?”

Stalking Time #3
Incarnation: Eighth
Card: Temperance
“Now that we’re not running for our lives, I’ve been meaning to ask you a question, Doctor.”
The Doctor looked up from the controls of the Tardis, “Yes?”
“Just what did you mean when you said you were half-human.? Is that true?”
He just smiled a half-smile before moving about the controls, flicking switches and pressing buttons without a second thought.
“It’s probably easier to show you. Trust me, there are just some things that are just best left unmired in popular parlance. It’s more of a feeling than an actuality. I love this planet and all the people on it. Your race just manages to make the time they have and turn it into such amazing things.”

Stalking Time #2
Incarnation: Eleventh
Card: Wheel of Fortune
Closing the door to the Tardis, the Doctor swung about extending his arms in a grand gesture.
“It’s just you and me now, Sexy. The kids are off doing whatever it is the kids do these days, and you and I can go have a grand old adventure.”
He ran up the stairs towards the control panel, spinning dials, flipping switches and pulling levers.
“Let’s see, how about, the Krovik Penal Colony in the Getamene Cluster?During the revolt. That should be exciting,” he said as the Tardis started to hum and whir.
What he didn’t notice was the change on the destination screen.

Stalking Time #1
Incarnation:6th
Card: The Sun Inverted
Perri was off somewhere sulking, I hated when she did that.
I mean what right did she have? Here she was a guest in my TARDIS.
My TARDIS!
Imagine the nerve her complaining I wasn’t the Doctor she knew, I mean really. It was just a simple regeneration, I’m still the Doctor. In fact, I’m even more clever than I used to be. I even dress better. Cricket uniforms, how absurd.
Silly girl, simply doesn’t understand Gallifreyian physiology. It’s a shame really.
I ought to explain it to her. No time like the present. What is that I hear? Sobbing?
Why?
No matter.
